Project Proto - Update 14
For this update, I have the completed pyro simulation as well as the class 15 presentations. Firstly, I want to go through the work that I have done in my pyro simulation.
For the first simulation, I started off with a pyro source that was passed through the volume source and into the solver using sop path.
The settings are all default for the solver here.
Then, I explored another method to bring in the pyro source through the volume object, and this produced a more instantaneous result.
Fuel scale: 5
Cooling rate: 0.88
Burn rate: 0.2

Project with breakdowns
I felt that I was trying too hard to keep the previous simulation for going a bit longer and decided to revert back to using volume source and solve it through activation.
Fuel scale: 1
Cooling rate: 0.15
Burn rate: 0.95
Added wind force.

I added the newly rendered shot 3 with the sound design by Ana Lozan. I really liked her work for shot 4. As I was still working on shot 3, we had deferred the sound design until it gets cleared for purpose of timing.
Project Proto - Update 15
The final shot! For this update I have test renders for how the visor would look like when it is glowing. I also made some lighting adjustments to make proto "pop" out from the environment. This combined with the depth of field blur in post production will further enhance this effect.
Proto pre-glow (Sc01_sh04)

Proto post-glow (Sc01_sh04)

I will animate the glow using the emissions slider and it will be relatively close to the week 15 video in terms of timing.
